Charles Leclerc has made a terrific start to his Miami GP weekend, as he claimed the pole position in Saturday’s qualifying session. He did not necessarily look strong in the practice sessions, but delivered when it mattered the most. Ferrari secured a dominant front row lockout, as Leclerc took home his third pole position of the season. And we are just five races into the F1 calendar.

Carlos Sainz backed up his teammate, with a strong P2 finish in qualifying. It was vital for the Spaniard to make a strong comeback after two consecutive DNF’s, and a crash in FP2 on Friday. Ferrari are in a strong position to claim a double podium finish in Miami, which will be their third in 2022.

Charles Leclerc’s girlfriend, Charlotte Sine was delighted as the Ferrari driver claimed the pole position on Saturday. She took to Instagram to showcase her joy regarding the same, and posted a couple of stories. The couple reportedly started dating in early 2021, and Charlotte is often seen accompanying Charles Leclerc during race weekends.

Charles Leclerc looks to rectify costly Imola error

Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz

Charles Leclerc dropped several points at his home rain in Imola, as he made a costly error to finish just P6. The Ferrari driver was comfortably placed in P3, but tried to push a bit too hard in wet conditions, which meant that his car went spinning into the gravel.

The championship leader just about managed to save himself from a DNF, as he completed the race to limit the damage. Now, he will be looking forward to claim his third win of the season in Miami. Max Verstappen, his championship rival, starts from the second row, from P3.

Having two drivers on the front grid gives Ferrari a massive advantage in terms of their race strategy. However, Max Verstappen has been solid, starting from the second row in the past. Turn 1 will be a crucial point in the race, as both Ferrari drivers will look to cover any sort of attack from Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
