Red Bull has seen incredible success in the past few years, winning 35 of the 44 races in the last two seasons. A large factor in this is the work of Adrian Newey, the man instrumental in designing the dominant RB18 and RB19.

Newey has a reputation for turning a team’s fortunes around with his innate aerodynamic expertise and knowledge. However, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, who was recently awarded with a CBE, feels that the team has grown accustomed to functioning without Newey, to become an entity independent of him.

Adrian is a big part of this team and big part of what we've achieved. But of course, his role has evolved over the last few years and the technical team beneath him led by Pierre Wache, they're doing a wonderful job and so that they're not reliant on Adrian.
Christian Horner said, as reported by motorsport.com

Adrian Newey has an incredible track record, his decades of experience with F1 paying off with his success. The Briton has designed cars winning a staggering 25 championships, of which most came before his time with Red Bull.

Christian Horner retains faith in Sergio Perez

Sergio Perez suffered a dismal season in 2023, losing to Max Verstappen by a record-breaking 290 points. With only two wins to his name, Perez failed to make anything out of the year he intended to be a title bid against his Dutch teammate Max Verstappen.

Christian Horner has supported Perez all year long, putting unwavering trust in the Mexican. Horner still believes that Perez salvaged what he could of his form near the end of the season, appreciating his hard work and efforts with the team.

He brushed himself down, he worked hard. He came and embedded himself in the simulator with his engineers. And I think the turn of the season, he really picked up and drove some great races.
Christian Horner said in an interview with racefans.net

Sergio Perez has been warned by Red Bull that his seat is at risk though, with many vying for his seat. Perez is currently contracted till the end of 2024, which gives the 33-year-old one season to prove himself to the Milton Keyes outfit.
