Christian Horner and the Red Bull saga is far from getting over. Since the close of the investigation, one or the other thing has popped up regarding it and the whole fiasco has now turned into a blockbuster soap opera.
It has recently come to light that Christian Horner after the close of the inappropriate behavior investigation, was on the verge of getting sacked. However, he reportedly roped in his lawyers to intervene on his behalf in Austria.
The Red Bull CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff, had decided to terminate the Brit’s contract seeing the evidence in the inappropriate behavior investigation. Moreover, according to Business F1, as reported by Motorsport.Total, an official press release had already been prepared. The press release stated,
Red Bull GmbH confirms that Christian Horner has left Red Bull Racing with immediate effect. Red Bull GmbH will make no further comment on the matter.
It is believed that Red Bull wanted Horner to leave without losing face so that his termination wouldn’t have a huge impact on his personal life. However, he did not agree to it and insisted on an arbitration clause that would give him the right to an independent investigation into the allegations against him.
Christian Horner will be bombarded around the Red Bull saga in Saudi Arabia
In Bahrain, Christian Horner made it known that because of the investigation into him being completed, it was time for everyone to move on from his inappropriate behavior investigation. Horner said this in light of the numerous questions he was getting asked in the F1 paddock about it.
However, since the reveal of the recent intervening of lawyers-related information, the saga is far from getting over. Moreover, it is now almost a guarantee that the 50-year-old will be asked questions about the latest development in his Red Bull saga during this week’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend.
The way things are currently panning out for Christian Horner, he has tough days ahead of him. He arrived at the final day of the Bahrain GP hand-in-hand with his wife, Geri Halliwell, but that has not had much impact, as the recent development has completely overshadowed it.
