Christian Horner has been making the headlines for the wrong reasons lately. The Red Bull Team Principal is under investigation against inappropriate behavior allegations. The 50-year-old has so far denied all accusations. Now, reports have emerged that Horner chose not to take an offer from Red Bull to resign without being investigated.

Recently, De Telegraaf reported that Horner was accused of sexual transgression by the female employee. Moreover, the Briton allegedly tried to settle this case for over $800,000. However, Horner has remained adamant of no wrongdoing.

Now, as per Motorsport-Total, Horner was given the option from Red Bull to step down as Team Principal at the end of last year. The 50-year-old was accused by the employee in December 2023. It was planned that health issues would be cited as the cause of Christian Horner’s departure. However, the Briton reportedly did not respond. On other the hand, sources close to the 50-year-old claim that such an offer was never made to Horner.

After De Telegraaf reported new details regarding Horner’s case, it was reported that Christian Horner was going to take legal action against the Dutch newspaper. The Briton has affirmed that he was in the clear without any wrongdoings. The 50-year-old is innocent until proven guilty by the investigation.

Horner was questioned for several hours by the external barrister last Friday. Moreover, it is believed that the 50-year-old was shown the dossier including his explicit messages to the female employee. However, there has been no official confirmation from Red Bull GmbH regarding any details of this case.

Certainly, Christian Horner is in a tough spot. The 50-year-old is still the Red Bull Team Principal for now and was present at the RB-20 shakedown. However, the Briton is facing backlash from fans and the media over this investigation. As such, it remains to be seen when the verdict on Horner’s case is officially released.
