Christian Horner’s no nonsense response to rumors of him leaving Red Bull: “I don’t really need to comment on wild speculation”

Red Bull’s Team Principal, Christian Horner, has come out to water down any speculation of him leaving Red Bull. The Dutch media had claimed that if Red Bull decides to go ahead with the deal with Porsche, Christian’s current position could be in danger. The rumors certainly don’t make sense at this point in time as Red Bull and Max Verstappen are having one of the seasons of their life.
Max Verstappen emerged as the winner of the Dutch GP for the second season running and extended his lead to 109 points over rival, Charles Leclerc. The ‘King of Zandvoort’ was put under immense pressure by Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, who were trying to pull off a strategic masterclass. But, the reigning world champion held his ground to eventually ground his competitors to win a chaotic race.
But, the team has only been able to achieve this level of dominance after years of continuous hard work and Christian Horner has been at the heart of it all. The seasoned campaigner has seen highest of highs when Sebastian Vettel was at the peak of his powers, followed by a period of lull when Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes were dominating F1.

Christian Horner categorically rejects claims of him leaving the Milton Keynes outfit
It’s highly unlikely that Christian decides to quit now. Red Bull’s Team Principal, in a recent interview, emphatically rejected the claims saying, “There’s always wild rumours in this paddock.”
“I recently made a commitment to this team for the long-term and indeed any discussions that we’ve had have been contingent upon the management structure being the same, which has always been fully accepted.”
“I think you can never say never, but for the foreseeable future I’m very much focused on what I’m doing with Red Bull. I’m fortunate to be paid for what I do because I love it. But it’s like anything you do – you just try to do it as well as you can.”
“So I don’t really need to comment on wild speculation,” as reported by racefans.
Max Verstappen registered his 10th win of the season and looks firmly in control of the championship. Christian Horner must be a pleased man after seeing their position in both the championships. Therefore, it makes more sense for him to stay than leave.
