Daniel Ricciardo claims that he doesn’t want to take the winter break after the end of this season

Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo returned back from his injury in great form. The Aussie has been scoring great points in the team despite the big break due to his injury and has started talking about the next season. As the 2023 F1 season nears its culmination.
The 34-year-old driver was asked about what he was taking home after the end of the season, to which the Australian had a humorous reply. Further, Ricciardo talked about the unexpected season of 2023 where he would’ve been seatless. He claimed that he didn’t expect to be racing at all this year. He got the dream seat after AlphaTauri ousted Nyck de Vries.
Some metal in my hand, When I look back on this year, it’s a year I never would have expected in so many ways. Obviously, I didn’t expect to be racing at all this year, let alone going through everything else.Ricciardo said, as reported by speedcafe.com.
Ricciardo claimed multiple times that he was pretty happy where he was and additionally said that he didn’t really want an off-season. The Aussie hinted at the great hopes for the next season and once again claimed that this was the first off-season where he really didn’t require a break between the next season as he wanted to race more.
Ultimately, I’m really in a happy place. It’s probably the first off-season that I would not really want an off-season. I want to keep racing and keep a bit of the flow going. But also, the thought of having a little bit of a break and getting myself for next year, that excites me as well.
Daniel Ricciardo also applauded Franz Tost ahead of him leaving the team
Daniel Ricciardo was not hesitant to compliment the soon-to-be replaced boss Franz Tost at AlphaTauri. Ricciardo complimented Tost for his service to the team and congratulated and wished him the best in his future endeavors. Tost oversaw The Honey Badger’s work in Toro Rosso in 2012 and 2013 before The Honey Badger was moved to Red Bull.
Ricciardo expressed uncertainty and commented that he was not sure what the future entailed for Tost. However, the 34-year-old hoped that Tost enjoyed some R-and-R. Finally, the Aussie mentioned the great memories he had with Tost during his 18-year-long service to the team.
AlphaTauri has been showing some great improvements after the mid-season break especially after Ricciardo returned from his injury. With the big changes in the team including the team name, logo, and the top spots of the team. AlphaTauri now aims to have a great season in 2024.
