The first race of the 2024 season of Formula 1 is just under a month away. Multiple teams have brought major changes to the team ahead of the season with VisaCashAppRB (previously AlphaTauri) finalizing all the changes to Faenza. The team is donning an all-new team name with a different racing suit and chassis livery from any of the previous seasons.
Amidst this, VCARB driver Daniel Ricciardo took an opportunity to strike a funny comment against the team’s name. The name VisaCashAppRB is a mouthful even for the Australian driver as he made a cocky comment against the team name. Faenza included two popular giants Visa and CashApp as these two were eager to partake in the team’s name at the pinnacle of motorsport.
Ricciardo mentioned the team’s abbreviated name ‘VCARB’ and struck up a comment about it. The 34-year-old asserted that everyone needed their vitamins and carbohydrates as the team name contains ‘CARB’ in it. Also, Carb is commonly used as a short form of the essential nutrient Carbohydrates and hence Ricciardo took the opportunity to make a funny comment over this.
VCARB. Yeah. You’ve gotta get your vitamins and your carbohydrates,
Ricciardo told The Athletic.
Daniel Ricciardo highlights his goals for the 2024 season
Daniel Ricciardo had a rollercoaster of a season in 2023, as the driver was a reserve driver in the beginning. Additionally, down the season, Ricciardo suffered from a major injury and had to sit out for multiple races. Hence the Aussie wasn’t provided with every opportunity to drive a car for the 2023 season and has since highlighted his goals for the coming season.
Due to this, the 34-year-old mentioned that it was a great feeling to return back to racing in Formula 1. Ricciardo mentioned that he missed this feeling and enjoyed returning back to the sport. Additionally, The Honey Badger mentioned that racing in the sport gave him the motivation to be the best version of himself.
Hence, the 2024 season would be exciting for all the Faenza fans as the team will sport multiple changes. VCARB has already revealed their challenger for the season and looks forward to providing great racing action in the middle-order of the track. The team had a mediocre end to the 2023 season due to multiple issues and hence will try to maximize results in 2024.
