The Las Vegas GP weekend is underway. The F1 paddock has traveled to Sin City for the inaugural race on the iconic Vegas Strip. The race is perhaps one of the most grand affairs in the sport’s history. However, the Vegas race might also be the most expensive race on the F1 calendar. Now, Daniel Ricciardo has expressed his desire to make the race more accessible for fans.
F1 fans need to pay over $2000 for grandstand tickets for the Las Vegas GP. Even the most affordable general admission tickets range around $500 for the three-day weekend. Ricciardo insisted that Formula 1 should maintain a balance between the luxurious packages for a race and the starter options for the majority of fans.
The Australian driver claimed that even the base prices for the race were far higher than what most fans could afford. Subsequently, the 34-year-old mentioned that he would like to have the Las Vegas GP accessible for all fans. With at least the starting prices being affordable for the majority of the fanbase.
I guess, like all things, you need a balance. did hear some entry-level prices; I’m well aware that not everyone can afford those. I would love that everyone can have the option to attend.

Daniel Ricciardo has no issues with luxury packages for Las Vegas GP
The Las Vegas GP has some of the most exciting packages for an F1 race. It is expected that stars from around the world would shell out hefty sums to attend the inaugural race on the city Strip. Daniel Ricciardo made it clear that he had no issues with such spending during a weekend. Rather, the AlphaTauri simply wanted to see all fans being able to attend the Grand Prix.
If there’s then some crazy packages, and that people want to spend that money, all good, so be it, but I guess I don’t like to hear that ‘we would have loved to have come but we simply couldn’t afford it.

Ricciardo even speculated if Formula 1 wanted to have only big names in the grandstands this weekend. The Australian driver claimed that the Las Vegas GP was an outlier in this regard as most races usually have affordable tickets for fans. Though, the 34-year-old acknowledged that he was not the one running the business.
I’m not saying maybe I agree with it, but maybe just is that this is that little outlier of a weekend where that’s the crowd that they kind of want to go after.

Certainly, the Las Vegas GP has had some of the most expensive ticket prices for an F1 race. However, this resulted in a lack of demand leading up to the race weekend. Subsequently, Formula 1 and ticket agents were forced to slash down prices days before the race. Although, it remains to be seen if F1 alters the pricing for the next iteration of the race.
