The AlphaTauri Formula 1 team is Red Bull’s sister outfit. As per reports, the Faneza-based team is expected to race under a new name(Racing Bulls) during the 2024 campaign. Red Bull wants to change the team’s direction and does not want its title sponsors to be directly involved in the name.

Recently, it was believed that AlphaTauri had two key players in the name of Adidas and Hugo who were keen to become their title sponsors for 2024 and beyond. Especially considering how much the pinnacle of motor racing has grown in the last few years.

Moreover, a point came where it was almost decided to name AlphaTauri as the Adidas F1 team. However, things did not pan out. Despite all the negotiations that took place with Adidas and Hugo, none were successful in coming up with a good enough offer that could have enticed Red Bull.

While the above two brands are out of the question, it has come to light that the Italian outfit could be named as Racing Bulls for the 2024 Formula 1 season. The main focus of Red Bull here is to have a traditional name that is not tied to a sponsorship agreement.

AlphaTauri has leaped up the 2023 Constructors standings in recent times

While AlphaTauri is looking all set for a major name change ahead of the 2024 F1 season, their 2023 campaign has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. They were at the bottom of the standings for the most part of this year but since the last few races, have managed to creep up in the standings.

Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki Tsunoda, and even Liam Lawson have done a very good job in helping the team get up to the eighth position in the Constructors Championship. Without their mighty efforts, it would not have been possible for them to get the better of Haas and the Alfa Romeo F1 team.

The ongoing campaign has only 1 race remaining on the calendar and AlphaTauri is in a kind of a no-man-land with 21 points. This week’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix would be a kind of a free shot for them and considering this, it would be fascinating to see how they would perform around the free-flowing Yas Marina F1 circuit.
