Red Bull’s Helmut Marko claimed he’s wary of Charles Leclerc and his Ferrari for the Singapore GP. He sighted a difficulty in over-taking and the Ferrari’s qualifying capabilities as reasons for his concern. But Charles Leclerc doesn’t seem to ‘buy it’ as the driver said, “It’s nice to read that but I’m not buying it at all.“

I really think that they will be the strongest this weekend, especially come race day. Quali, maybe it will be close but maybe not, added the Monegasque. Ferrari’s struggles at high-downforce tracks has been a highlight this season. Leclerc claims Marina Bay, being another high-downforce track, will make Ferrari’s job even more difficult than at the Italian GP.

Ferrari dazzled at Monza on Saturday, clinching Pole in their home Grand Prix. The race turned out, as they so often have this season, with Red Bull winning. Despite Ferrari’s loss, the Italian legends looked better at Monza than they have anywhere else. With Leclerc fearing a return to the dreaded familiar ways, it’ll be interesting to see how the Maranello monsters line-up for the Marina Bay.

Ferrari’s home GP didn’t hold the reward the ‘Tifosi’ dreamed of. But the late tussle amongst the two scarlet F1 cars was certainly a sight to behold. The 2016 World Champion, Nico Rosberg, however claims Leclerc was taking it easy on Sainz at Monza. I think he (Leclerc) was quite sincere, and I thought he was too ‘good guy’ already in qualifying,” said Nico Rosberg during the SkySports UK podcast.

Nico claims Leclerc’s challenge against his teammate is too tame for his liking. Rosberg’s liking for bringing the fight to his teammate remains quite fresh in our memories though.
