Esteban Ocon during last night’s mega Ballon D’or event was tasked with the responsibility of delivering the prestigious trophy, and the Frenchman being an F1 driver, delivered the trophy in his own style that has got people still talking about it.
Esteban Ocon stole quite a few headlines during the Ballon D’or ceremony as he brought the trophy to the event in his Alpine livery. No one was expecting it at the ceremony, at it took people by surprise.
The responsibility on the 25-year-old’s shoulders was huge as the Ballon D’or is the most important award as far as football is concerned.
At the start of every football season, the top players get out on the field with the intention of doing a solid season for their respective teams so that they are in the running when the event comes around.
This year, the Ballon D’or has been awarded to Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema and Ocon was the one who brought his trophy to the event at the famous Theater du Chatelet in Paris.
Esteban Ocon’s antics caught everyone off guard in Paris last night
Esteban Ocon is known in F1 for catching drivers napping on track with his smooth and silky overtakes, however, for a change, the Frenchman decided to switch things a bit and brought the Ballon D’or trophy to last night’s event.
Moreover, Ocon’s grand entrance took place at the start of the event when people were just settling into their seats, the Frenchman came out of nowhere and was seen driving his Alpine livery, and tied above it was the Ballon D’or trophy.
Moreover, in attendance was also Ocon’s 2023 teammate, Pierre Gasly. The current AlphTuri starlet must have been aware of Alpine’s plans considering he is going to be driving for them next year.
Alpine and Ocon were hands down one of the main highlights of the show and the people who witnessed their antics live are still not done talking about what they witnessed at the event.
Last night’s ceremony was Ocon’s second outing delivering the Ballon D’or trophy, as in 2021, Esteban and Fernando both were seen on the red carpet bringing the prestigious trophy.
