Valtteri Bottas, the Alfa Romeo driver, has confirmed that the 2022 F1 drivers have a chat group together that is mostly used for discussing official issues and has also given an indication that there is huge respect among the drivers for each other.

Today’s F1 world is extremely dynamic where things change at a rapid pace and sometimes it becomes difficult for drivers to keep pace with all its happenings.

The group that Valtteri Bottas has mentioned, has the above, as one of the reasons behind its creation. Moreover, Bottas while talking about the driver’s group has said, “Yeah, we have a group chat, actually a more official thing for like safety things and stuff like that, but, there are some jokers, that’s part of it, but I think every driver is on very good terms and we have good respect.”

Formula One is a hard-fought sport, where sometimes, emotions get the better of the drivers while going wheel to wheel with each other, however, Bottas has made it clear that, at the moment, every driver is on good terms with each other.

It is good to see that everyone is in harmony with each other as in F1 things don’t take time in turning sour. This year, the drivers have done well in keeping their tussle on track, and while there have been occasions when things got extremely heated, however, nothing has gotten out of hand when it comes to drivers’ relations with each other.

Last year, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton’s battle was extremely toxic, considering both teams, including the drivers got into verbal warfare with each other.

It was not at all a pretty sight to see as the separate fanbases also got involved and made the environment around the sport extremely toxic.

However, this year, things are well under control between the drivers, and with only a few races left in the season, everyone would be hoping for much of the same till F1 signs off in Abu Dhabi.
