With impressive pace in the practice sessions and most importantly in the qualifying, Valtteri Bottas is all set to start fifth in the Miami GP. He made the highlights as he continues to outperform his ex-teammate and the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who’ll start beside the Finn from the sixth position.

And while the rain is expected during the main race, the heat teaming up with the humidity troubled the drivers during the Friday and Saturday sessions. Valtteri Bottas confesses that the main race will be extra demanding given how his body couldn’t cool down, even during the shorter sessions of preparation, thanks to the humidity.

Speaking with Formula1.com, the Alfa Romeo driver said, “With the tyres in this temperature, with the cars, even for drivers, I’m sweating so much the body just cannot cool down in this humidity, so it’s going to be demanding.”

The build-up to the inaugural Miami GP has been exciting. And with the track’s newness and weather coming into play more than ever in this season, it’s set to be highly unpredictable.

With more heat, humidity and more complex challenges, Bottas believes the race will be tough. “It’s Formula 1, everything is possible, and we are not far off. I think realistically fighting with the Red Bull, Ferrari with the pace they have is tricky, but anything can happen,” Bottas said with optimism about his fight with the four drivers ahead.

Valtteri Bottas has set an unbelievable pace in his Alfa Romeo and stands just behind the Ferraris and the Red Bulls. The driver also seems glad to stand ahead of Lewis Hamilton and would now be hunting for a podium after two good finishes in Australia and Italy. Currently, he has 24 championship points to his name and stands behind Hamilton on the leaderboard.
