BMW is a well-known name in the world of motorsports. There was a time when they had their presence at the pinnacle of motor racing, but since 2009, they have stayed away from the sport.
However, this has not stopped the former AlphaTauri team principal, Franz Tost, from claiming that BMW made the best engine which he saw during his long career in F1. Tost has vast experience and is highly respected by the motorsports community.

The Austrian recently talked about BMW’s F1 run in an interview and said,
BMW was the absolute technological highlight. They have made the best engine I have ever seen in Formula 1. I really enjoyed working and living in Munich during those years, it is one of my favorite cities. The problem for them was Williams, who simply were not up to the task.As reported by Soymotor
Looking at the reaction of the Austrian, it seems that BMW had the know-how during their time in F1, to produce potent engines. However, he has also indicated that were not able to win world titles because of Williams simply not being up to the task.
AlphaTauri is working closely with Red Bull ahead of 2024
While Franz Tost has applauded BMW for the work they did during their time in F1, his former team, AlphaTauri, has amassed immense attention ahead of the 2024 season.

The Faenza-based team, being the junior outfit of Red Bull, has always had the duty of preparing drivers to make the jump to the main team. However, ahead of this year’s season, it has come to light that both outfits are working very closely with each other.
