F1 reveals plans for a GRAND Las Vegas GP opening ceremony with ‘nine legendary musical artists’ and 30,000 fans

The Las Vegas GP is arguably the most awaited F1 weekend of the 2023 season. The sport has invested millions of dollars in this race, with Liberty Media taking the role of the organizers. Now, Formula 1 has announced plans for a massive opening ceremony to mark the occasion of this spectacle in Vegas.
The opening ceremony will occur on Wednesday, November 15, right before the race weekend. As per F1’s official website, the ceremony will comprise “spectacular performances by nine legendary musical artists.” Moreover, The show will be dedicated to fans of the sport, attendees, and the community of Las Vegas. Thirty thousand fans are expected to attend this spectacle.
The entire F1 grid of 20 drivers will be in attendance to watch this historic event. Formula 1 has brought in some of the biggest names from the music industry, including the likes of Andra Day, Bishop Briggs, J Balvin, Journey, Keith Urban, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and will.i.am. Moreover, Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil will be performing at the event as well.
Las Vegas GP to celebrate the history of the iconic city
Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The city in the state of Nevada is famous for its casinos and glamorous nightlife. Subsequently, Formula 1 plans to honor the rich history and legacy of the city via the Las Vegas GP opening ceremony. The artists’ performances would pay homage to America’s iconic place and set the tone for the weekend.
The Las Vegas GP opening ceremony would end with the introductions for all 10 F1 teams and the 20 drivers. Fans could enjoy this enormous event via the Wynn Grid Club, Paddock Club, Skybox, or Heineken Silver Main Grandstands. The event will be live-streamed globally on the official F1 YouTube channel, with ESPN2 broadcasting in the United States.
