Valtteri Bottas is an established talent in Formula 1. Bottas spent a good few years at Mercedes, partnering with Lewis Hamilton. Valtteri proved himself to be a perfect wingman for the British driver. However, it was only in 2022, that the Finn could finally race with a sense of freedom as he switched to Alfa Romeo. Ever since then, the fans have witnessed an all-new Valtteri, one who truly enjoys what he is doing.
Valtteri Bottas took part in the 2023 Race of Champions for Team Finland, alongside Mika Hakkinen. Consequently, Bottas got to grips with machinery in the snowy tracks at the event. Though, Valtteri is perhaps one of the most experienced drivers driving in snow due to the climate in his home country. Subsequently, the Finnish F1 driver decided to have a go on a snowmobile at the competition.
Valtteri posted a reel on Instagram showcasing some clips from Sunday at the event. Including, Bottas taking out a snowmobile for a spin. The Finn can also be seen greeting fans who came to cheer the Alfa Romeo driver. Valtteri Bottas wrote the caption, “Sunday ROC.” The song, ‘We will rock you’ perfectly suits the vibes of this video. Although, Bottas’s take on this machine raised a few eyebrows in light of the tragic death of legendary driver Ken Block.

Fans urge Valtteri Bottas to get off the snowmobile
Some fans on Instagram were not pleased with Valtteri Bottas‘s endeavor. One user told the Finnish driver to proceed with caution on the vehicle. The fan replied, “Pls be careful on the snowmobile.” While another fan followed suit and wrote, “Be careful homie.” Though one fan was quick to demand Bottas to get off the snowmobile. As the fan commented, “No Valtteri. Get off that thing. Not safe.”
On the other hand, many followers loved Bottas’s new adventures. One user mentioned how happy they were to see the Finn smiling in the reel. The user said, “Please the little smile at the start is everything.” While another fan appreciated Valtteri Bottas’s video and said, “The best thing I’ve seen and heard today.” Certainly, an opinion that thousands of fans would agree with as they see the Alfa Romeo driver having a great time before the F1 season begins.
Thus, Valtteri Bottas’s outing at the Race of Champions this year was met with acknowledgment by the fans. Although, Valtteri’s take on a snowmobile may have unearthed memories of Ken Block’s recent death in similar conditions. Of course, the danger is always present in such situations but Bottas is an experienced driver. As such, fans can assume that the Finn would do his best to drive the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
