Red Bull‘s sister F1 team AlphaTauri will undergo a massive overhaul in 2024. The energy drinks giant has remained adamant about rejuvenating the Faenza-based squad for the upcoming F1 season. Previously, RacingBulls was reported to be the new name of the second Red Bull team. Now, the Austrian giant has acquired a new domain name for the same.
As per reports, Red Bull has registered the domain visacashapprb.com. Moreover, users are directed straightaway to racingbulls.com through this site. Certainly, this could mean that AlphaTauri will be known as Visa CashApp Racing Bulls for the upcoming F1 season.
In 2023, it was reported that Red Bull has got two major US sponsors for the Faenza-based team. $533 billion worth Visa will likely be on board the Red Bull sister team alongside the $40 billion worth CashApp. This would in turn bring in massive sums in sponsorship revenue to AlphaTauri.
Fans unhappy with AlphaTauri’s rumored new identity
Fans on X were quick to share their views over this rumored name. One user mentioned that Formula 1 had entered an era of dismal team names due to sponsor demands. Recently, the Sauber-run Alfa Romeo outfit renamed itself to the Stake F1 team. The user replied, “We are in the era of terrible names. we used to be a real sport.” Another fan reckoned that AlphaTauri should simply revert to the name Scuderia Toro Rosso, a label it used for over a decade. The fan commented, “So lame. Return it to Toro Rosso.”
While one fan believed that perhaps AlphaTauri would not take this identity if the entire internet came together to ridicule this name. The fan wrote, “Maybe if we collectively make fun of it, they will change it.” Another user claimed that the sponsors were certainly impressive for the Red Bull sister team. However, the name was underwhelming. The user stated, “Impressive sponsors but terrible name.”

Certainly, Visa CashApp Racing Bulls would be a polarising name on the F1 grid. Two major title sponsors would boost the team’s finances. Although, it could get tiresome for the viewers. Fans would be looking forward to seeing if AlphaTauri really does take up this new identity.
