Christian Horner is currently under investigation due to inappropriate behavior allegations by a female Red Bull employee. The 50-year-old will continue to serve as the Team Principal till the verdict of the case is released. Now, F1’s governing body, the FIA has released a statement addressing this serious investigation into the Briton.
The Mohammed Ben Sulayem-led organization mentioned that the investigation was independent and conducted by Red Bull Racing’s parent company Red Bull GmbH. The FIA made it clear that it would not be making any comments on the allegations till a proper conclusion was reached by the external barrister handling the case.
In relation to the independent investigation currently being undertaken by Red Bull GMbH, the FIA reiterates that until such time as the investigation has concluded and the outcome is known, we will not be commenting further.FIA’s statement (H&T: RacingNews365)

The FIA emphasized that the entire process must remain fair while maintaining integrity and inclusivity within the sport. The sports governing body released a statement almost a day after F1’s official statement on Christian Horner’s allegations. However, both F1 and the FIA refrained from commenting till a verdict was officially published.
The FIA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, fairness and inclusivity within the sport.
Christian Horner to stay put as Red Bull Team Principal for now
The 50-year-old was allegedly accused of sexual transgression by the Red Bull employee in December last year. Red Bull offered Christian Horner a chance to save face by stepping down from the team without being investigated. However, the Briton rejected this offer and continues to deny all accusations against him.

Despite the ongoing investigation, Horner has remained the team boss at Milton Keynes. Reportedly, the 50-year-old has the support of Red Bull’s majority stakeholder Chalerm Yoovidhya. Subsequently, Christian Horner will likely continue his duties unless he is found guilty of the allegations. The Briton was present at Max Verstappen’s RB-20 shakedown and car launch recently.
Certainly, Christian Horner’s future in the sport is at risk. The Briton would face severe consequences if he is found guilty of inappropriate behavior. This case will likely overshadow Red Bull’s 2024 campaign and could cause massive backlash from fans in the coming weeks if things go downhill for Horner.
