FIA intervenes as teams call for a technical meeting regarding the porpoising issue
FIA, the motorsport governing body has finally made their statement to intervene in the phenomena of “aerodynamic oscillations” or else known as Porpoising, with their latest policies to reduce porpoising in the interests of the safety of the drivers taking the latest pain arc the drivers went through.
The ruling body has come out with some clear instructions mentioning the terms and conditions teams will have to follow and has also called upon a technical meeting with the Teams in order to keep their views to the considerable decision the body will make.
FIA also released their word that also mentions penalties for the team that fails to follow certain conditions.
A technical directive has been issued for the teams to help them over the course of change, it consists of :
“1. Closer scrutiny of the planks and skids, both in terms of their design and the observed wear
2. The definition of a metric, based on the car’s vertical acceleration, that will give a quantitative limit for acceptable level of vertical oscillations. The exact mathematical formula for this metric is still being analysed by the FIA, and the Formula 1 teams have been invited to contribute to this process.”

Contradicting reactions to the Porpoising issues
FIA has published its words for the issues the drivers have been having, such as back and chest aches. They ultimately came to a conclusion to introduce penalties for the team that shows more bouncing than a relevant quantum will be penalised.
Rules can turn out to be effective for the Red Bull team, but not as much for the likes of Ferrari and Mercedes. With the silver arrows stressing over a particular height for all the teams, Red Bull objected to this idea mentioning the right terms according to them would be the individual teams solving their problems.
