Five different teams for Nyck De Vries in a single season: The 2023 debutant all-set to smash record even before joining F1

Nyck de Vries
Nyck De Vries, the 2023 AlphaTauri driver, has done quite a decent number of laps for various F1 teams in the 2022 season, and with the upcoming young driver test in December, he will take his tally to a total of five different teams.
Nyck De Vries was nowhere in the running to get a drive for 2023, but because of an illness to Alex Albon during the Monza weekend, an opening got created on the Williams team for the race, and that was the point from where he really put his name in the driver market.
Moreover, the Williams F1 team is not the only outfit that he has driven for in the current campaign, along with the Wantage-based team, he has also driven for the lights of Aston Martin, Alpine, and the mighty Mercedes F1 team.
He has racked up quite a decent amount of mileage this year and with the upcoming young driver test in December, he will set an unprecedented record. He will become the first driver to have driven for 5 different teams in a single year.
AlphaTauri provided Nyck De Vries with a test in the A521 in September

Nyck De Vries with his Monza outing has got himself back in the limelight and while he had driven for three different teams before getting a contract at AlphaTauri, his tally got taken up to four, when he was presented with the opportunity of doing a test in Alpine’s A521.
The Dutchman is in a happy place after replacing Pierre Gasly on the Faenza-based team and has recently indicated that he is looking forward to partnering up with Yuki Tsunoda next year.

Moreover, in 2023, De Vries will be in his rookie season in F1 whereas Yuki Tsunoda will be entering his third consecutive season after signing a new deal with the team, but despite De Vries entering his first full F1 season, he would be expected to deliver straightaway and be competitive in comparison to his Japanese teammate.
While all that is going to come up next year, during the upcoming month, De Vries will take his tally of teams to five when he will participate in the young driver test for AlphaTauri in Abu Dhabi.
