Formula one is spreading its branches worldwide, and the sport is blowing up as they have announced a new partnership with Tottenham Spur.

Formula One and Premier League football club, Tottenham Hotspur have signed a 15-year partnership. They will build an in-stadium electric go-karting track. The Tottenham Hotspur stadium already hosts Premier League and NFL. With Formula One joining them, this stadium is about to become more popular than ever, attracting people across the globe. 

Formula One and Tottenham aim to bring diversity and career opportunities with this partnership. The focus will be on the karting experience, especially for women and minority groups. They will officially open later this season and will also launch a driver program to spot the new generation of Formula One talent.

Formula One CEO, Stefano Domenicali stated, “As we continue to grow our sport, partnering with world-renowned brands like Tottenham Hotspur allows us to take Formula 1 and motorsport to new and more diverse audiences. The karting experience will be a destination and place that families, friends, and aspiring drivers from all over the world will want to visit and enjoy, engaging new audiences and offering an accessible entry point to the world of motorsport”.

Formula One and Tottenham Spur’s partnership will address diversity in sports

Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy stated, “Since building this stadium, our ambition has always been to see how far we can push the boundaries in delivering world-class experiences that will attract people from around the world all year round. We have been able to bring the biggest names in sport and entertainment to London N17. We are extremely excited about what this long-term partnership with F1 will bring for our global, national and local communities.”

The duo is delighted with the partnership. There will be several opportunities for youngsters in regard to a career in engineering and software development. The local kids will also have a chance in motorsports. Formula One aims to diversify the sport, this is a great opportunity to blend in with the football club Tottenham Hotspur and achieve their goals.  

Apart from all this, Formula One and Tottenham aim to work together regarding sustainability. The former is already looking to reach its target of Net Zero Carbon by 2030. They want to be able to deliver sustainable fuels and make a positive change for the environment. Tottenham, on the other hand, shares this goal with Formula One and aims to become Net Zero by 2040.
