Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, which hosts the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, famously known as ‘Imola GP,’ is now offering a unique and exciting location for couples who want to tie the knot. The city administration has approved an agreement between the Municipality and Imola-Faenza Tourism Company, which allows for civil marriages and civil unions to be celebrated in the “Ayrton Senna” room located within the Autodromo Internazionale.
Set in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by rolling hills and green valleys, the area is renowned for its delicious food and wine, with local specialties such as Parma ham, Parmesan cheese, and Lambrusco wine. With the racetrack’s history of hosting world-renowned motorsports events, the “Senna” room provides a one-of-a-kind venue that is sure to impress and create lasting memories for the couple and their guests.
The track is infamous for the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, which saw the tragic demise of the Brazilian legend, Ayrton Senna, after he crashed during the race. The track has erected a memorial in his honor and donated a room in the paddock in his honor. Despite its gloomy history, the racecourse has consistently produced fantastic races, and with the events drawing in more spectators, the track has officially renewed its contract to stage races through 2025.

Everything you need to know about renting Imola for weddings

Couples looking for a thrilling and unforgettable wedding venue can now book the “Ayrton Senna” room from October to March on weekends and from April to September on weekdays. IF Imola-Faenza Tourism Company usually manages the room for its communication and promotion activities, but it will now be available for couples to celebrate their special day.
According to the Municipality, the rate for using the Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack for civil marriages and civil unions is the same as other historical places in the city, such as the Rocca sforzesca and Palazzo Tozzoni. The cost is €410 (excluding VAT) for couples who wish to celebrate their wedding at the racetrack.
Marriage proposals at a few games are a familiar occurrence, but this is a novel approach to staging weddings as a whole. The track returned to the sport after a 12-year absence and was reintroduced to the updated 2020 schedule as a “one-off” race, one of many new or returning Grands Prix to compensate for the loss of other races. As part of Italian tourism, the track has now been approved to hold weddings, civil marriages, and civil unions.
