It might not be going well for Daniel Ricciardo on the track but he still continues to one of the most popular figures in the paddock. In a crazy transfer window, it was been confirmed that McLaren have decided to terminate the Australian’s contract a year before the promised date. This means that a driver of Daniel’s ability might have to leave F1 at the end of the season.
McLaren signed Daniel Ricciardo from McLaren in 2021 with the hope of bringing back the golden days. But, unfortunately, the performances of Daniel haven’t lived up to the billing. Although the Australian got McLaren their first victory in F1 since the 2012 Brazilian GP, the consistency has been lacking which was expected out of after how he had performed during his time at Red Bull and Renault.
But, nothing has stopped him to continue fighting for his place in F1 with that vintage smile of his. He has been one of those drivers who has always been there for youngsters like Max, Lando and George, to name a few. Recently, George was seen to be wearing a shirt from his clothing line at Zandvoort. Daniel Ricciardo explained as to how that came about.

Talking about his camaraderie with George, he said, “George is a good one. He’s one of the good young ones! I’ll give you the story, it’s a feel good story, one for the grandkids! So he won’t mind me saying this.”
“So he texted me one Friday night. And it was a picture of his girlfriend on the couch, looking up the RIC3 shop. And he was like, ‘Mate, what’s going on?’
“And I was like, ‘Tell me what she likes. I’ll send her are a few things.’ So we sent a few things. And I guess one of them actually fits George. So he decided to wear it today. So it’s good. George is a good lad. Yeah, I like the kid!”
Daniel Ricciardo will definitely be missed by the drivers in paddock and fans all around the world if he doesn’t get a seat for the 2023 season. Where do you guys think Daniel Ricciardo should opt to go if given an opportunity for the 2023 season?
