Was the deployment of a Safety Car the correct decision by the FIA?

The Italian Grand Prix ended behind a ‘controversial’ Safety Car with many fans left wondering was it the best decision made by the FIA. After Daniel Ricciardo’s car had an issue and was stalled on the track, the FIA made the decision of bringing out the Safety Car with only four laps left in the race.

The race ended behind the safety with Verstappen securing the victory and Charles Leclerc placing p2 follow by Russell in third. However, if the SC wasn’t brought out the result would be quite different as Sainz was gaining on Russell and would have gotten a snatched the podium position from Russell.

The fans were enraged at how the race ended and called for a change in management at the FIA. The commentators also felt that a red flag would have been better option than the Safety Car giving the drivers a fair opportunity to compete for the positions.
