Daniel Ricciardo, at the moment, is struggling to find a seat for the next season of Formula One but has indicated that he is feeling relieved after making his announcement of leaving McLaren at the end of the season.
Daniel Ricciardo believes that now with the announcement out of his way, he can finally put everything behind him and look to have fun in the time that he has left with the Woking-based F1 team.
The Australian’s early departure from the team has cost McLaren dearly in terms of finances as he is on a huge salary, and they had to pay the bulk of his next year’s salary as well to get the deal over the line.
Coming into Belgium, all the headlines were made around Ricciardo and he has recently admitted that it was a tough experience for him but has also made it pretty clear that once he got behind the wheel of the MCL36, he finally was able to take a sigh of relief.
While talking about the same, Ricciardo added, “It certainly hasn’t been the most fun weekend going through all this, but at the same time it was nice to get back in the car and just try to put everything behind me and have a bit of fun.”

Daniel Ricciardo has got eight races left with the McLaren F1 team
Daniel Ricciardo signed with the papaya-colored team in 2021 with the hope of moving up on the grid but things haven’t turned out the way he expected, however, after his recent announcement, he feels that things will become more enjoyable for him.
The 33-year-old while further stressing about his announcement added, “I’m glad that the bulk of this announcement is done, and hopefully it gets a bit more fun for the last eight.”
The former Red Bull driver is happy that the tough time after his announcement is finally over and is now looking to give everything that he has got in his locker in the remaining races of the season and have as much fun as possible while doing it.
Next up on the F1 calendar is the Dutch Grand Prix and considering that Ricciardo is once again high on spirits, how do you see him performing at the Zandvoort circuit?
