Esteban Ocon in recent years has improved his stock as an F1 driver significantly, however, his achievements are not highlighted in a big way as compared to some of the other drivers.

Esteban is quite right in his assessment as considering the current campaign, he is winning the qualifying duel against Fernando Alonso 9-7 and is also ahead of him in terms of points, but despite this fact, is not given enough recognition.

The Alpine starlet, after 16 rounds, has scored 66 points in the World Championship whereas Fernando has only been able to amass 59 points.

Moreover, Ocon believes that he is the only driver, after Lewis Hamilton, who has been able to finish on level pegging with Fernando Alonso, and thinks that the Spaniard’s previous teammates did not do a job better than him.

Esteban considers that he is doing a fine job as an F1 driver but still sometimes stays confused as to why he is not seen in the same light as some of the other young drivers on the current grid.
