Valtteri Bottas only managed to 9th on the streets of Monaco, which after a lot of rumours to fight the top team that weekend, was still disappointing. Valtteri after suffering from an MGU-K problem in the Friday session of Monaco still managed to earn two points for his team. He started 12th on the grid and performed with the best he could to earn those three places. The newcomer Zhou managed only 16th and gave yet another disappointing finish to the team.
Valtteri’s shared his disappointment over the last weekend. , “I thought [Monaco would suit us] but it didn’t so now it is important for us to understand why,”
He continued “I feel like there is something mechanically that didn’t quite fit with these corners. For Baku, I think they are a little bit more like normal types of corners – 90-degree corners and not much camber and off-camber, except in the old town. So I hope it is better.”
What went wrong for Valtteri Bottas and Alfa Romeo in the Monaco Grand Prix
Valtteri Bottas spoke about the struggles they went on the streets of Monaco, he cleared the struggles on the camber or kerbing of the tracks. Alfa Romeo also suffered from the problems mentioned earlier, it was rather the pace Ex-Mercedes driver managed that got him to P9, not the car.
