“I want to win tomorrow,” upbeat Kevin Magnussen looking forward to SPRINT after “fantastic” qualifying session

Kevin Magnussen after yesterday’s P4 finish during Qualifying has proved that he still has what it takes to achieve “big” things in Formula One.
The qualifying session for the Imola SPRINT took place under treacherous conditions for the drivers where K-Mag himself took a trip through the gravel. The Dane was however able to get his car back to the garage for a change of tires and what everyone witnessed afterward was Magnussen driving the lap of his life for the Haas Formula One team.
With K-Mag’s P4 finish at Imola, the Dane driver was able to put his name in the record books by producing the best qualifying result for the America-based Hass Formula one team.

The Qualifying session was not all smooth sailing for K-Mag as during Q1 and Q2 the comeback kid had to negotiate his way through Red Flags and stoppages and during Q3 getting himself out of a tangle at Acque Minarelli.
During the post-qualifying interviews, the Dane driver talked about his Imola adventure and said, “You want to get as wide as possible before turning in and getting as close to that white line but I didn’t think I hit it.”
“I think I just locked the rears and when they fully lock, I just lost it completely. I went through the gravel and I thought it was over.”
Kevin Magnussen’s thoughts on Hass’ performance

K-mag while talking about the performance of the car also went on to say, “It is fantastic.”
“It is so unexpected, even now after a good race in Bahrain and in Jeddah, it is still just so cool to be in this position and fighting so close to the top.”
“I mean we were stronger in the wet than we are going to be in the dry but still, it is crazy.”
Magnussen on his hopes for SPRINT said, “I want to finish in the top three, I want to win tomorrow!“
“That will be super hard, top eight, that will be great.”

Magnussen is very much looking forward to today’s SPRINT and given what he has said about his targets for today, the SPRINT qualifying is shaping to be a great watch for all the interested parties and fans all over the world.
The upcoming SPRINT is going to be a “spectacle” and it could prove to be another great weekend of Formula One action!!
