Daniel Ricciardo after the Sprint race has sounded like a confident man as he was able to do a good job for the woking-based McLaren Formula One team. The 33-year-old was able to make up 5 places during the Sprint race after starting from P16.

McLaren in general had a strong outing as teammate Lando Norris was also able to get his MCL36 to P11 at the end of the race. the duo is doing to start tomorrow’s race side by side from P11 and P12 respectively.

After the race, while dwelling on McLaren’s outing Ricciardo said, “There are certainly some positives to take. We moved forward and had a bit more pace than a few of the cars in front as well. It’s been a pretty tricky weekend, so I’d say that was one of our better sessions. We’ll obviously try to get into the points tomorrow.”

Daniel despite having a solid outing for the team is not 100 percent sure as to how the car is going to behave in proper race sim conditions and while stressing about tomorrow, has said, “I think with a few more laps today, we would have had a chance to crack into the top 10. So tomorrow with a longer race we might have a bit more of an opportunity.”

Ricciardo believes his MCL 36 could have overtaken a few more cars had he got a few more laps during Sprint but feels if the team does all the right things overnight, then he could be in with a very good chance of finishing in the top 10 at the end of tomorrow’s race.
