“It’s not our best track,” Charles Leclerc expects a tough weekend for Ferrari at Monza

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc won at Monza in 2019 and could probably mention it to be his best race ever. Ferrari fans remember it to be their favourite because Ferrari’s win at Monza came out after nine long years. But Charles eventually got Ferrari their most precious win and got his name over the sport as a coming world champion.
After 2019, Ferrari hasn’t been up to their mark and is not at all in winning contention. But 2022 has been their best season in a while and expected a title-winning campaign this season but last lost to convert it into one. Charles Leclerc expected his first title but couldn’t hunt it after losing out to Max Verstappen. Red Bull has a very domiananting straight-line pace and they have won all the races supporting their package.
The most recent one was Spa, where Max won 14th place. Charles was nowhere near the likes of Max but he expects to same in Monza too. “On paper, it’s not our best track, unfortunately. But anyway, I’m really looking forward to going there. We always have a massive amount of support. And for that, I’m really looking forward to it. But I think the performance on paper will be a bit more difficult than this weekend, unfortunately,” said Charles.
Charles Leclerc on fight with Red Bull and Mercedes

Charles Leclerc fears Red Bull being very competitive at Monza but he also expects a Mercedes show on the high-speed track. Ferrari lacks their low drag setup and this could be a bit troubling for the Italian-based team. Mercedes almost won the Dutch GP and with their top speed dominance, Ferrari is in for a ride at Monza.
“I think everybody is obviously improving but in the last races, we’ve been struggling a bit more in race pace. Now Mercedes are also in the fight and they are very quick,” said Charles.
Tifosi is disappointed after almost losing out on an earned title to the Italian team. Though the only thing that could regain their satisfaction is a win at Monza. Ferrari is lagging behind Red Bull with 134 points and Charles is 109 points behind Max.
