The much-awaited Las Vegas Grand Prix Weekend is the upcoming race weekend on the 2023 F1 Calendar. The inaugural race has been a highlight of the 2023 season since its announcement and the excitement has now begun showing itself with only a week to spare for the event. Ahead of the Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo was invited as a guest on the infamous late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
While on the show, Ricciardo discussed multiple facets of being a Formula 1 driver and spoke about the ‘vegas strip street circuit’. While discussing how the famous ‘Vegas Strip’ is shut down currently to accommodate the racetrack, Kimmel advised Ricciardo to be on the lookout for several Vegas residents, including some drunk people and Strippers. Kimmel spoke about the race and later offered the Australian driver the hilarious advice.
Jimmy hilariously remarked [as reported by express.co.uk] about Daniel Ricciardo’s plans once he hits Las Vegas for the Grand Prix.
You gotta be careful though because you know, there are people with like Margaritas and uh, Daquiries that are like four and a half feet tall, you could easily run somebody over. It could be thousands! There could be magicians, there could be strippers walking across. You don’t want to hit a stripper!
Daniel Ricciardo previously claimed 98% credit for Formula One visiting Las Vegas
Back in 2017, Daniel Ricciardo playfully predicted the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. During a press conference in 2017, both Lewis Hamilton and Ricciardo were asked about their preferences for future F1 race locations that were not present in the calendar at the time. Hamilton expressed his interest in racing in Miami, while the then-Red Bull driver enthusiastically exclaimed Vegas!
Surprisingly, both desires have now materialized, with Formula 1 introducing the Miami Grand Prix in the 2022 calendar and gearing up for the highly anticipated Grand Prix in Sin City for the inaugural race.

In a recent interaction with ‘P1 with Matt and Tommy’, Ricciardo responded to a fan question about the race. Ricciardo responded with his famous charm and claimed 98% of the credit for the realization of the highly-awaited Grand Prix. With a humorous touch, the current AlphaTauri driver talked about it.
Coming to existence, I think it was 2017 I asked for it, Look, I don’t want to claim everything but I’ll claim like 98% of it, yeah.
Daniel Ricciardo will be delighted to race on the Vegas strip following his tumultuous year, including a wrist injury that put his return to Grand Prix racing on hold. The Australian driver has now fully recovered from the injury and is set to arrive at Las Vegas with a sealed contract for 2024 at AlphaTauri. It will be interesting to see where the ‘Honey Badger’ finishes in the eventual Grand Prix.
