The Christian Horner investigation shook the entire crew of Red Bull before the commencement of the 2024 season. Max Verstappen, Helmut Marko, and even Adrian Newey were rumored to leave Milton Keyns following the entire ordeal. However, things have calmed down in recent weeks. Regardless, Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of Aston Martin showcased interest in acquiring the aero-genius in Silverstone.
The aero-genius Adrian Newey has designed multiple championship-winning cars during his career in the pinnacle of motorsport. However, the Christian Horner investigation saga opened up talks for the 65-year-old to move to other teams in the coming season. Previously, Ferrari reportedly offered a blank cheque to the engineer to acquire him. Additionally, Newey was even speculated to exit Milton Keynes and join Mercedes in the coming season.

Newey had made it clear that he intended to stay at Red Bull for the future. However as per Motorsport.com, Lawrence Stroll wants to hire the aero genius at all costs. Stroll has allegedly provided the 65-year-old with a ‘big money contract’ with the sole purpose of having Newey work for Team Silverstone. The Canadian billionaire has already acquired other key designers from rival teams to shorten the bridge between the leading teams.
Pat Symonds claims Adrian Newey has ‘plenty more’ to extract from current F1 rules
Adrian Newey’s racecraft has been proven time and again after witnessing multiple constructors scoring such impressive victories. Hence, the aero-genius has etched his name in the history of the pinnacle of motorsport as one of the greatest engineers to ever exist. Amidst this, F1 chief technical officer Pat Symonds revealed that Newey has a lot more to offer with the current regulations.

Symonds claimed that in his recent conversation with Adrian Newey, the 65-year-old highlighted that there was a lot left to extract with the current F1 regulations. The Newey-designed RB20 has managed to stay ahead of the rest of the field this season. As such, Pat Symonds reckoned that the aero genius had plenty more to show before the 2026 rules.

Certainly Newey’s work has enabled Red Bull to achieve historic success in the team’s history. The 65-year-old has continued to lead the sport in terms of innovation. However, fans would be interested in seeing where Newey is headed for the future if he decides to leave Milton Keynes.
