Michael Schumacher, a 7-time world champion, is set to receive the highest honour of his home state, The Prize of Nordrhein-Westfalen, which will be given to his family on his behalf. Micheal still hasn’t fully recovered from the damages he got after his accident while skiing. He is usually accompanied by his wife and two children at home with no Media allowed. 

Michael is arguable the great of all time in the Formula 1 verse, he is still an inspiration to thousands for what he has achieved. With 91 race wins, 155 podiums, and 7 titles, he did shape the sport in curves the people see now. Michael won 5 titles with the historic team, Scuderia Ferrari making them the most successful team in the history of Formula 1.

Michael Schumacher an inspiration to millions

Micheal had been a part of the sport since the start of 1991, he won his first two titles in 1994-95 battling some of the greats, including Aryton Senna. It took him 5 years to win his next title with Ferrari and he did it working together, making the driver and team the greatest of all time.

He inspired millions around the world, all the drivers we witness making history now are one to be inspired by the GOAT himself. Sebastian Vettel was the closest to the 53-year-old former F1 driver, he saw him as his mentor and learned a lot from the legend. 2012 was the last year the driver severed and he left the sport with a gift to his young german friend, his third world title defeating Fernando Alonso in Ferrari. 

Michael had his accident on 29th December 2013 and went into a six-month coma and is still recovering from the damages he suffered.
