Michael Schumacher, the former 7-time F1 World Champion, produced surreal moments during his exceptional racing career. He’s an absolute legend of the sport and it has been made public that his Ferrari F2001b will go under the hammer on 16th August in Monterrey, California, United States.

The F2001b is the car with which Michael Schumacher won the 2002 Australian Grand Prix and took it, also known that he only took it for a spin thrice during that year. The car holds a special place in the Tifosi’s heart and will be presented for the auction by American company Sotheby’s Sealed.

Moreover, while giving details about the upcoming auction, Sotheby’s Sealed released a statement that said, “Its public offering presents an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a racing car of truly historic significance: one that not only led Michael Schumacher to a famous victory but played a pivotal role in securing his historic fifth World Drivers’ Championship of Formula 1.”

While there is no information regarding the price that would be set for the historic F2001b, it is definitely going to be humongous considering that Ferrari’s F300 was sold for 6,220,000 US dollars. The F2003-GA was sold for a whopping 15 million US dollars. Several people are going to have their eyes glued on the upcoming auction.

When Michael Schumacher first arrived at the pinnacle of motor racing, it was evident very early that he was an exceptional talent. He made his debut in the year 1991 for the Jordan F1 team at the Belgian Grand Prix and put the motorsports world on notice. From 2001 onward, Schumacher steamrolled his competition and won the Championship 5 times.
