Once a renowned Formula 1 journalist and one of Micheal Schumacher’s close friends, Roger Benoit, talked about the motorsports legend at a recent interview. The 74-year-old recounted multiple moments including Schumacher gifting him various things, and he talked about playing Backgammon together. Then, he also shed light upon their fallout and the eventual reconciliation that Roger and Michael reached.
Among other things, Benoit also commented on Schumi’s health, saying “There is only one answer to this question and that is what his son Mick Schumacher gave in one of his rare interviews in 2022: ‘I would give anything to talk to dad.’ This sentence said everything about how his father has been doing for over 3,500 days now. A case without hope.” Benoit lamented the current condition of the 7-time World Champion and seems to have lost hope on Michael.
Following his horrific Ski accident in 2013, the Schumacher family has kept updates about the legend very private. Amidst the outpour of love and support for the Schumacher Family, the countless fans of the Ferrari legend have yearned for an update on his health since there are several rumors claiming that Michael Schumacher is in coma now.

Toto Wolff thinks ‘all doors for 2024 are closed’ for Michael Schumacher’s F1 return
Alex Albon’s 2024 teammate at Williams is yet to be decided as Logan Sargeant’d contract with Williams has not yet been renewed. On the other hand, Mick Schumacher is now sitting in the sidelines, waiting to pounce on the opportunity to replace Sargeant. But Toto Wolff, a man having quite the influence over Williams, commented upon how Mick’s door to the 2024 season seems to have closed despite the open seat.
“It’s tough. All the doors are closed somehow – which is a shame because Mick deserves to drive in Formula 1.”, he told Sky Sports.
Apart from Williams, the German driver also has a chance to go to Sauber for a possible seat. It’ll be interesting to see how the silly season for F1 drivers pans out–whether Logan Sargeant beats the junior Schumacher to a seat in 2024 or if Nick’s experience from previously driving for Haas reigns supreme.
