Monaco GP secures place in F1 until 2025 after signing three-year contract extension

The Monaco GP has secured its place in the pinnacle of motorsports until the year 2025, after signing a new three-year contract extension with F1.

The agreement was recently signed between F1 and the Automobile Club of Monaco, and this is great news as far as the F1 enthusiasts in Monaco are concerned.

The reason being, ahead of this year’s race, there was a lot of negative chatter regarding the place of Monaco on the calendar for next season, and the tension increased 10-folds when some of the F1 pundits said that it was going to be extremely difficult for Monaco to find a place on the F1 Calendar for 2023.

However, with the recent news, everyone is in high spirits in Monaco, and F1’s President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali while talking about the agreement said, “I am pleased to confirm that we will be racing in Monaco until 2025 and excited to be back on the streets of this famous Principality for next year’s Championship on May 28.”

“I want to thank everyone involved in this renewal and especially H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club of Monaco, and all his team. We look forward to being back next season to continue our partnership together.”

The first Monaco GP took place in the year 1950, and since then, it has been an integral part of F1. The place has over the years been witness to some of the greatest moments of the sport and is loved by people all over the World.

Moreover, Monaco is a very unusual track that poses extremely different sets of challenges than the ones that are thrown in the way of the F1 drivers by the normal Grand Prix circuits.

Monaco is a very tight and twisty circuit where overtaking is an extremely difficult task, however, despite its cons, the race, in general, is loved by fans and is one of the first events that people are looking to find whenever a race calendar comes out.

The Monaco GP is set to stay in F1 at least until 2025 and this is great news, especially if you are Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque is a fan favorite in Monaco and to see him racing there for at least three more years, is sure to bring smiles to the faces of people living there.
