The Brazilian Grand Prix has been a part of the F1 calendar since 1972. The Interlagos track is 4.3 kilometres long and hosts a 306km long race. The last person to win this race was Lewis Hamilton.
The track hosts a 71-lap-long race which was first held in the year 1972. The first driver to ever win this race was Emerson Fittipaldi with the Lotus-Ford F1 team. Lewis Hamilton has won at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix a total of 3 times in his F1 career. His first win was in the year 2016 when he took pole position and later on went on to secure the win as well. He later won in 2018 and recently last year in the 2021 Sao Paulo Grand Prix – despite starting fifth on the grid he went on to secure the win.

Sebastian Vettel is another driver who secured a total of three wins at Interlagos, over the course of his career. He first won in 2010 with the Red Bull racing team and then later in 2013 as well. He also won in 2017 while driving for the Scuderia Ferrari team alongside his teammate Kimi Raikkonen.

The late Carlos Reutemann was another notable F1 driver who was very successful at the Interlagos track throughout the span of his career. He also won the race here three times during his F1 career. His first two wins were in 1977 and 1978 with the Ferrari team and later again in 1981 with the Williams-Ford F1 team.

Michael Schumacher, the former 7-time World Champion and one of the greatest F1 drivers to have existed, was very successful at the Sao Paulo GP and won here a total of 4 times throughout his career. He first won this race in 1994 and 1995 with the Benetton-Ford F1 team and later in 2000 and 2002 with the Ferrari F1 team.

The most successful driver to have raced at the Brazilian Grand Prix is the great Alain Prost. The legendary 4-time world champion was part of the McLaren team for the most part of his F1 career and won a total of 4 championships with them.
These highly accomplished drivers have had very successful races not only at the Interlagos circuit but have also had very successful and noteworthy careers and have earned the right to be called one of the greats in the sport of F1.
