Nico Hulkenberg, the Haas F1 driver, has been competing at the pinnacle of motor racing for several years on an off-and-on basis. He has a wealth of experience but because of never having a chance to race for a top team, he is on the brink of having two unwanted records to his name this year.
As per Motorsport, the record for most Grand Prix starts without a win is currently held by the late, Andrea de Cesaris. During his career, he competed in F1 for several teams but was never able to secure a victory. His total stands at 208 outings without a win.
However, the 36-year-old, Nico Hulkenberg is not too far away as he has so far had 203 outings without a triumph. Haas does not have the machinery to challenge for wins and thus, it is very likely that Hulkenberg will break Cesaris’s F1 record.
The next unwanted record is already in the name of the German driver. He is currently the out-and-out record holder for the most number of races without a podium finish. As mentioned earlier, his tally stands at 203.
Nico Hulkenberg will target a more competitive seat for 2024
While Nico Hulkenberg will most likely have the record of most races without a win to his name this year, he had a strong 2023 season behind the wheel of the VF-23. He was exceptional over one-lap pace but was not able to do much because of Haas’s race-pace issues.
Moreover, with the upcoming campaign also looking to be heading in the same direction, Hulkenberg will most definitely want to have a more competitive seat for the 2025 season. His current deal with Haas will come to a close at the end of this year.

He has been linked with Audi in recent times and because of him being a German driver, he could be seen racing for Sauber next year, before Audi takes full control over the team in 2026. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed above, the upcoming campaign holds tremendous significance for Nico Hulkenberg.
