“Oh i’m miserable” – Fans react as Alex Albon posts an emotional message for the departing Williams F1team principal

Alex Albon and Williams had a strong season in 2022 with team principal Jost Capito at the helm. It was clear that the German was steering the team towards a winning trajectory but that has all come to a halt as Jost and Williams made a shock announcement regarding his departure from the team. It was something that was not at all expected by the fans amidst all the team principal drama happening around Ferrari.

This month has turned into silly season for team principals as Jost Capito announces that he is departing Williams. With Fred Vasseur announcing his departure from Sauber, he is going to replace Mattia Binotto at Ferrari. Andreas Seidl on the other hand is allegedly on his way to Alfa Romeo to become their team principal. It has all turned into one big frenzy.

When the Williams team was at its lowest point, they brought in Jost Capito to handle the team. He was the one who made the decision to bring in Alex Albon for 2022. After working with the team for 2 years, he managed to completely change the team’s atmosphere and increase everyone’s motivation and morale. Which is why it is sad for so many to see him leave.

Jost Capito had a substantial effect on the Williams F1 team and it’s drivers Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon. With the 2023 season incoming in a few months, it will be interesting to see who takes over from the German. Handling a team like Williams isn’t an easy job and Jost managed to hold the team together for two whole years. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
