Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are investors in Pierre Gasly’s F1 team
Formula 1 is a global sport where teams invest hundreds of millions of dollars every season. Subsequently, F1 teams often rely on outside investors to gain some lucrative funding in exchange for a stake in the squad. NFL stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have invested in Pierre Gasly’s current squad, the Alpine F1 team.
Kelce and Mahomes are part of a group of investors that acquired a 24% stake for $217 million in the Enstone-based F1 team. The Super Bowl LVIII winners partnered with Ryan Reynolds and Michael B Jordan in the opportunity to become part-owners of a team competing at the pinnacle of motorsport.
It is thus no surprise that Pierre Gasly was cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl. However, the Frenchman would shift his focus to the upcoming Formula 1 season. Alpine has a lot of ground to cover this year with Gasly in dire need to bring in some good results for the French team.
