While motorsport enthusiasts from all over the world have come forward and reacted to Pipo Derani’s crash at the 12 hours of Sebring, the driver is fine. He has managed to get away without any major injuries.
I’m alright, the Dallara Cadillac is a strong car. It’s one of those days that things go upside down, literally. It’s just a shame because we had a really strong car and our race was going strong. There was nothing I could have done and the wall came pretty quickly.Pipo Derani said in an interview with Daily Sportscar
The Brazilian’s crash has hurt him and his team a lot. He was leading the race when the incident took place and had he not been too aggressive, he could have won the event. Especially considering that he is a former four-time winner in the 12 Hours of Sebring.
