Red Bull CEO makes SHOCKING revelation, claims they are using FIA’s $7 million cost cap breach penalty as an ‘advantage’

Red Bull has been penalized with a multimillion fine and reduced wind tunnel time for breaching the cost cap in 2021. While all the other teams are assuming the penalty will take a toll on red bull, its CEO, Pierre Wache claims that they will be using it as an advantage.
Wind Tunnel Time refers to time given to teams to run aerodynamic simulations of their designs. This allows them to know which design will work and which will not. Because of the penalty, Red Bull will now have a reduced 10 per cent wind tunnel time.
Instead of being disheartened because of the penalty, Red Bull believes that it will help make their work efficient. Now they will use their time more efficiently and focus on what works, rather than having too many options.
Pierre Wasch in an interview said, “We made sure that as a team we didn’t try things that wouldn’t work on the track because of the wind tunnel penalty. We obviously had trouble with the penalty but we turned it into an advantage.”
This penalty comes into function after the summer break and might hinder upgrades added to RB19 and in the development of RB20. Other team principles, like Mike Krack of Aston Martin have already made statements regarding how it is possible to defeat Red Bull with reduced wind tunnel time, Red Bull seems pretty confident on keeping up with their current pace.

Will the Red Bull era of dominance continue?

Red Bull believed that this season they might be in competition with Mercedes and Ferrari, with the new floor length regulations being put into practice. But the season is turning out to be in their favour.
So far, Red Bull has won all the twelve races, with 10 being won by Max Verstappen and the other two by Sergio Perez. The team is doing excellent, in fact it is finishing 22 seconds ahead of other teams, which clearly showcases just how good the car is.
In the constructor’s championship, Red Bull stands at the top with 503 points, a solid 256 points ahead of the second place – Mercedes. There has been slight problem in the internal dynamics of the team with analysis showing a stark difference between the qualifying average of Max and Checo. There is a chance that Red Bull might replace Sergio Perez if he doesn’t keep his performance top notch.
Its not been that exciting of a season with one team keeping the lead and others following it around the track. With the penalties being brought into function, one can expect some slight turbulence to erupt. It can go both ways. Either the team does what Pierre Wasche says and use the penalty to its advantage, or it can succumb under the pressure of reduced wind tunnel time, which seems highly unlikely.
