Red Bull is the only organization in F1 to own two teams on the grid, Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri. In the past, AlphaTauri was simply a test bed for junior drivers. However, the Austrian giant aims to reinforce the Faenza-based team which has received backlash from rivals. Now, A member from Milton Keynes made a bold claim regarding the same.

It is often seen that rivals hit out at Red Bull’s two teams if AlphaTauri manages to deliver good results. Recently McLaren CEO Zak Brown wrote an open letter, claiming that no one should be able to own two teams in Formula 1. The rest of the grid remains concerned with closer ties between the two Red Bull teams in 2024.

A Red Bull member reckoned that rivals might ask FIA to make the Austrian giant sell its second team if AlphaTauri manages to fight for the Top 5 in the championship. This could be a possibility as many in the paddock have raised concerns over the sharing of parts between the two teams. As AlphaTauri will soon have more of its operations in the UK.

AlphaTauri to enter a new era in 2024

Red Bull GmbH has increased its interest in the Faenza-based Red Bull sister team. So much so, that the Austrian giant reportedly declined a $1 Billion offer for AlphaTauri this year. The second Red Bull team will receive massive investments in the coming months along with new leadership as Franz Tost retired from the sport at the end of this season.

AlphaTauri will get a new identity in 2024. Rumors had emerged about a potential title sponsorship with Hugo Boss or Adidas. However, it is expected that Visa and Orlen will have prominent branding on the car next season. Moreover, Racing Bulls is touted to be the new name of the Faenza-based team. Although there has been no official confirmation about such a name as of yet.

Certainly, AlphaTauri might soon become a midfield contender in Formula 1. The Faenza-based squad will likely get more funding from its parent company in the coming years. However, it remains to be seen if the Red Bull sister team can deliver on the expectations laid down by Red Bull in the time to come.
