Red Bull got ‘even stronger’ after Dan Fallows ditched them to join Aston Martin, claims Christian Horner
Christian Horner has recently commented on how the departure of Dan Fallows' has been a boon for Red Bull.
The general notion regarding Formula 1 is that it is one of the biggest sporting franchises in the world and that it is all about the racers who participate in it. But far from the common belief, there is a whole tribe of people, other than the F1 drivers, who make up an integral part of every Grand Prix. They are the race engineers, mechanics, technicians, strategists, etc.
Every year, there is a lot of commotion and quite some excitement amongst the F1 fans about the hiring of drivers by the different teams. But, nowadays, there has been a peak in the interest for the hiring of key personnel in the teams as well. With all the participating teams in Formula 1 aiming for each other’s necks, the competition is steep, and the demand for the best talents is high. Thus, it is now a common sight when one of the teams poaches famous names from its rivals to get an advantage on the racetracks.
After winning two back-to-back F1 World Constructors’ Championship titles, Red Bull has undoubtedly cemented their position at the top of the current racing grid. And the man behind the team from Milton Keynes, Christian Horner, has now released his comments on the British aerodynamicist Dan Fallows’ exit from Red Bull. He said, “I’m pleased for Dan that he’s doing a good job, but his departure has given other engineers an opportunity, and everything’s an evolution. The team we have now is even stronger than the one we had two years ago.”

Dan Fallows’ exit has given other engineers an opportunity: Christian Horner
Formula 1 is a sport that involves thousands of working men from different fields. Some astute professionals with formidable degrees in Science look upon the technical side of the races. One such name that any true fan would recall in an instant is Dan Fallows. He has previously served as the Head of Aerodynamics for Red Bull, and last year, he moved to Silverstone to become the Technical Director of the Aston Martin F1 team.
Horner’s answer to how Dan Fallows’ exit has affected Red Bull speaks of the confidence he has in his team, and Red Bull’s current results prove the fact that he is right. With both their drivers in the top 2 places in the score table for this year, things look quite comfortable for the team as they are targeting a third World Championship win in a row this year. Now, it remains to be seen if they do get to cruise to victory at the end of 2023, or if their journey gets impeded by some obstacles posed by rival teams such as Aston Martin and Mercedes.
