‘Red Bull has to try hard to lose the title’: Christian Horner flexes Red Bull’s dominance in the 2022 F1 Championship
The 2022 F1 season started off rocky for Red Bull, but quickly turned in their favor with them dominating the last few races. The Austrian based team has been having one of their most dominant seasons since 2013 and this has excited the fans a lot.
The teams lead driver, Max Verstappen has dominated the season so far and scored a total 310 points which is 109 more than his championship rival Charles Leclerc. While Red-Bull has a total of 511 points in the constructors championship which is 135 points more than their rival Ferrari.
Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner is quite confident that they have more or less won the championship and the only way they will lose it is if they themselves commit blunders that could cost them the title. “We’re in a great position and we’ll probably have to try very hard to lose it,” Horner acknowledged.
The Red Bull fans are very happy to see such dominance by the Milton-Keynes outfit and believe that they have won the championship for the second time in a row and nothing can stop them.
Can Red-Bull still lose the championship title?
Currently, Red Bull has been dominating the 2022 F1 season and majority of the people believe that the championship is as good as theirs, but a few fans are still skeptical. The Red-Bull team principal himself believes that his rivals on the grid will be unable to put a wrench in his plans to win a title for the second time in a row.
However, with 7 races to go it is a minute possibility that Red Bull can lose the championship to their rival, Ferrari. If the Red Bull team ends up botching up the coming races and Verstappen is unable to finish in the top 5 then his position on the driver standings could come under threat and Ferrari will use this opportunity to steal their hopes for a title away.
The fans and several drivers on the grid believe that Verstappen has as good as won the championship and if he secures a win at Singapore he cements himself as the 2022 Formula 1 World Champion.
