“Red Bull is quick” Charles Leclerc doesn’t think he can beat Max Verstappen in F1 Championship after another dramatic race for Ferrari

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc finished P3 after almost losing out on the podium for the Dutch GP. Luckily things got better at the right time and Charles managed to grab the last place on the podium. Though he lost out on a potential win starting his race from P2. He ultimately lost out to Max Verstappen’s another win concluding his championships dream.
Charles Leclerc started off his race on P2, he was managing his race very well behind Max. Ferrari then decided to pit Charles for a set of mediums for a probable undercut for the lead. But after getting on the yellow compound, he lost all his pace to fight his way back to the top. Mercedes were on a brilliant strategy that passed the Ferrari test when both the Mercs managed to get ahead of Charles after their first pit.
Though Lewis Hamilton got unlucky at the end of the race which gave Charles hope to fight back, he did and took himself to P3. “To be honest much better was difficult to do. We were a bit unlucky with the VSC. I don’t know if this would have changed anything today because Max was very quick,” said Charles on his chance to fight Max at the Dutch GP.
“Then there was the Mercedes flying on the hard tyres we struggled to find the feeling on them but we will analyse that. P3 Today. Lewis was struggling a little bit on the used tyres and I had more grip, but they still managed to keep those tyres in the last lap. Wasn’t easy, easy but we made it stick,” Charles Leclerc after almost losing out his P3 to the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton.
Charles Leclerc despair after losing out to the Championship

Charles Leclerc shouldn’t really consider himself in championship-winning contention after the Dutch GP. He is tied with Sergio Perez for the P2 position and has Max Verstappen over 100 points to catch up to.
Charles replied in a very low tone when asked about the championship hunt, “As I said in Spa, now the gap is really big. We will take it race by race and try to maximise our potential and see what happens,” said Charles.
Max Verstappen is 109 points ahead of Charles Leclerc after winning at his home. Charles is at P2 with 201 points on a level with Sergio’s 201 points.
