German outlet Die Aktuelle had recently advertised an interview conducted by them with Michael Schumacher himself. The interview, at the end of the article, was revealed to have been generated by an AI chatbot. The German Legend has been kept out of sight since he suffered a serious brain injury while skiing in 2013. The Schumacher family, along with fans, were shocked to see the Magazine. They have decided to take legal action against them.

A spokesperson for the family confirmed to ESPN that legal action had been taken against the outlet. The family has always gone to great lengths to protect Michael Schumacher, and a fake AI interview comes as a desecration and disrespect to the privacy they deserve.

The magazine wrote, “No meagre, nebulous half-sentences from friends. But answers from him! By Michael Schumacher, 54!”. This comes as unbelievable considering the privacy the family has requested and lived with ever since the veteran’s accident. Any updates on his health have always been answered by his family, mainly his wife, Corinna Schumacher.

The Motorsport legend, German icon, and inspiration to multiple generations sadly suffered a skiing accident in 2013, putting him in a coma. Once he awoke, it was revealed that he had suffered severe brain damage. Ever since he has been protected by his family and spoken for, they have kept him out of the sight of the public. Hence it can be perceived as an attack on their solitude when magazines release false information pertaining to them, sullying their image.

This is not the first instance where the magazine has been involved in a legal case with the Schumachers. An initial altercation occurred when the magazine put Michael and his wife on the cover and titled it ‘Awake’. They also, in the following year, claimed a ‘new love’ had entered Corinna’s life, while referring to their daughter Gina.

Corinna provided a lot of insight into the life she leads with her husband in solitude on the Netflix Documentary ‘Schumacher’. She said, “Michael is here. Different, but he’s here, and that gives us strength, I find. We’re together. We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he’s comfortable. And to simply make him feel our family, our bond. And no matter what, I will do everything I can. We all will.” She went on to re-emphasize how they get on with their lives privately, as they deserve to.

She also mentioned the importance of being able to enjoy their private lives as much as possible. She spoke of how Michael always protected them and how they are reciprocating it now, as a family should. Michael’s son Mick is now a Formula One driver, having ascended to the very pinnacle of motorsport his father once dominated ruthlessly. He receives guidance from his father, which is surely the most priceless advice he will ever receive.
