Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel, the former four-time F1 World Champion, is saying sayonara to the sport at end of the ongoing Abu Dhabi weekend, and with the help of this piece, we are going to have a look at how he has fared at the event over the years.
Sebastian Vettel during his Red Bull days was a World beater in F1 and as far as the Abu Dhabi GP goes, he has won the race an impressive three times with the Austrian team.
The 35-year-old’s first victory came at the Yas Marina Circuit in the year 2009 when the race was staged for the very first time.
Moreover, when it came to the 2010 edition of the Grand Prix, Vettel was heading into the race behind on points in comparison to Fernando Alonso, but despite that, the German was able to pull out a special drive.
His outing was so impressive that it not only helped him in securing his second consecutive win at the Circuit but also got him the World Championship.
Vettel’s third and final win at the Circuit came during the 2013 season of the sport, during which he lead every lap and easily dominated the race.
Sebastian Vettel will have his last Abu Dhabi GP outing during the upcoming weekend
Sebastian Vettel has been doing his trade at the pinnacle of motor racing for many years, and with the 2022 F1 season coming to a close in Abu Dhabi, the 35-year-old will have the last dash of his career.
The German, during the mid-point of the ongoing campaign, shook the F1 community by revealing his retirement plans, and with the last race of the season just around the corner, he has received massive applause from everyone associated with the sport.
Moreover, considering the affection that Vettel has received, he would want to make his last outing a memorable experience for himself and his fans.
The onus is now on the Aston Martin F1 Team to do everything in its power to get Vettel a decent package for the race, but considering how feeble the AMR22 has looked all season, would the Silverstone-based team be able to do what the whole world is expecting of them?
