Sebastian Vettel made a comeback to racing, as he took the test drive for Porsche 963 Hypercar. The German driver did a 36-hour-long test drive in Spain. With Porsche currently preparing for Le Mans, many suspected that perhaps Vettel would want to attempt for LeMans.

Sebastian Vettel retired from F1 in 2022 and suggested no possibility of racing again, but with this new development, perhaps he would like to make a return after all. While finally opening up about the possibility the 36-year-old driver told the media, that he is yet make a decision but is open to race in the world’s toughest race.

I was curious how these cars behave, and that was the reason for the test. It was a very nice experience, I enjoyed it a lot, I had a lot of fun. Now I need to think and decide, and make my mind up what I maybe want to do in terms of racing in the future. But I don't know yet.

If Vettel chooses to race in LeMans then it will be his first time to race in a hyper car. Hypercar is different from the f1 car as Hypercar has a 2,000 kg of downforce slows it down when travelling at high speeds and provides excellent traction off the line. Hyper cars are made for the raw speed.

Sebastian Vettel reminisces his experience of driving a Porsche 963

Driving the Porsche 963 on the track here in Aragon – that was definitely fun. I first had to get used to everything and find my rhythm. The driving experience is different simply because of the roof over your head, as well as dealing with the higher weight and the tyres.
Sebastian Vettel said.

In Spain, Vettel completed 118 rounds in hyper car. Vettel believes it to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Despite being behind the wheel of hyper car for the first time Vettel completed the test drive smoothly. With its 20th as a whole triumph at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche hopes to break its own record.
