Sebastian Vettel reportedly contemplating a move to Formula E following a disappointing season with Aston Martin

Sebastian Vettel in his Aston Martin
Sebastian Vettel’s future in Aston Martin is at a big question after a poor start from the team in the 2022 season. Aston Martin were introduced as a new team in the 2021 season after taking control over Racing Point by Lawrence Stroll, Canadian businessman and team owner. 2021 was a fair season for Aston Martin with both Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel scoring good points, and ending up 7th with 77 points in the championship. Sebastian Vettel was even able to score the team’s first podium in Baku.
This year was supposed to be an actual test for Aston Martin, and it has not been going so well for the team, and especially for Sebastian Vettel. He has been struggling to score points in this season, after missing the first two races due to COVID and then an early retirement in Australia. He has somehow managed to score only 4 points until now.

Vettel interested in environment protection could play a role to his journey in Formula E

Sebastian Vettel was seen wearing a T Shirt which said “Miami GP 2060, first GP underwater,” referring to global warming and related issues.
“Sebastian is very interested in environmental protection and has climate change in mind, just like we do in Formula E,” says Thomas Chevaucher, team boss of DS Automobiles, as quoted by GPBlog.
DS Automobiles were one of the first teams in the sport and are one of the best as well. They already have 4 titles and 14 victories, and Thomas is insisting upon giving Sebastian Vettel a chance to race in the sport.
Formula E could also be the German’s destination because they have almost 0 carbon emissions, making the sport a green and clean one.
As of now, Sebastian Vettel stands 14th in the championship with 4 points, and Aston Martin on 9th with just 6 points under their belt.
